Orange Headed Thrush
The Orange Headed Thrush is a shy & secretive bird, commonly seen in well wooded areas of the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
It shows a preference for shady damp areas and is generally found in moist evergreen woodlands, with a medium-density undergrowth of bushes. The orange-headed thrush feeds on the ground in the dense undergrowth & is omnivorous.
The male has uniform grey upperparts, an orange head and under parts. The females and young birds have browner upper parts. It is 200–235 mm long and weighs 47–60g.
