17th Bird Life Asia Regional Partnership Meeting was held at Aliya Resort and Spa from 21st November to 24th November, 2016. The program was coordinated by Professor Sarath Kotagama, an ornithologist and an Environmentalist, who has served Sri Lanka extraordinarily.

Members from the associations ‘Bird Life International’ & ‘Bird Life Asia’, representing many countries from across the globe were present at the 17th Bird Life Asia Regional Partnership Meeting. They shared their ideas, experiences and new improvements, while also sharing information regarding the associations activities & what the association plans on doing in the future. Further they also discussed matters related to the Bird Life World Congress which is to be held in Singapore next year.

All guests present for the meeting also partook in a tree planting session within the resort premises. A mix of over sixty Butter trees, lime trees and margosa trees were planted concurrently with the meeting.
